ISLAMABAD: Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir on Thursday granted two-day transit remand of senior PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah to the anti-graft watchdog.
Earlier on Wednesday, a NAB team comprising officials from Rawalpindi and Sukkur bureaus arrested the PPP leader from his Islamabad residence on charges of holding assets beyond known sources of income.
While presenting Shah before the accountability judge, the NAB team prayed him to grant a week-long transit remand. However, the judge approved only a two-day remand.
After getting the remand, now the NAB team would take the PPP leader to Sukkur and present before the local bureau.
