Indian, Chinese soldiers engage in confrontation as tensions flared up yet again on Ladakh border

NEW DELHI: Indian and Chinese soldiers on Wednesday engaged in a confrontation as tensions flared up yet again on the eastern borders of Ladakh on Wednesday.

The face-off erupted on the northern bank of 134 kilometers long Pangong Tso, two-thirds of which is controlled by China and it extends to Ladakh from Tibet.

According to Times of India, Indian soldiers were on a petrol when they were confronted by People’s Liberation Arym soldiers, who strongly objected to their presence in the area. This led to a scuffle between the rival soldiers with both sides sending reinforcements to the area…the face-off was in progress at the site till the evening.” the newspaper quoting  sources reported.
