KARACHI: A warning of urban flooding for Karachi, Hyderabad and Thatta has been issued keeping in view the upcoming monsoon rains likely to hit the region between Friday and Sunday.
The Meteorological Department said that a low-marked monsoon system has developed over the Bay of Bengal’s northern part.
The low-marked monsoon system will enter the country’s lower parts on Friday night (Aug 9) and will persist till Sunday (Aug 11).
The Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rainfall coupled with thunderstorms in Karachi, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Thatta while sporadic showers in Zhob, Naseerabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Kalat and Makran.
