“Tourism on the Silk Road” held in Tashkent

One of the most striking exhibitions of the year – the 24-th Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF-2018) entitled as “Tourism on the Silk Road” has opened in Tashkent on October 3.with the presence of international and local media persons.

The aim of the event is to create an international platform for exchange of experience, establishment of dialogue and joint efforts to promote and develop the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the Silk Road. The main organizers of the event are the State Committee for Tourism Development and the National PR Center State Unitary Enterprise.

The international and national pavilions have been accommodated in the capital’s “Uzexpocentre”, where the “Town of artisans” project, the stands of theaters and museums of the country’s regions, the Festival of national dishes, “The Eastern Bazaar”, “The Alley of artists”, fashion shows from leading and emerging designers of Uzbekistan and much more have been housed within the exposition.

The TITF is held since 1995 with the official support of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Every year, the exhibition brings together professionals of tourism business from all over the world.

This year, the participants and guests of the event can communicate with representatives of various companies related to tourism from such countries as the Kingdom of Thailand, Egypt, Singapore, Malaysia, Azerbaijan, India, Korea, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Stands of international airlines, education institutions, tourism and resort areas operating both in Uzbekistan and abroad have been located in the International Pavilion.
Within the framework of the TITF 2018, Taste of the Silk Road national dishes festival, the main theme of which will become a gastronomic journey along the Great Silk Road, will be held at Uzexpocentre pavilion.

This year, 50 representatives of foreign mass media from 22 countries – Latvia, Poland, Turkey, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, India, Belgium, the Netherlands, Greece, France, Germany, Japan, Spain, Italy, China, Belarus, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Israel will take part in Hosted Buyers program.

Deputy chairman of the stat committee Mr. abdulaziz u .aqqulov said to promote tourism in uzbakistan we devolpe new visa policy. this year more than 3 million tourist from several countries visit uzbakistan as we are targeting more.

While talking to media Mr. aqqulov said Uzbekistan is rich of natural beauty and heritage. About the safety majors of tourist he said that “our government have special instructions to all law agencies to protect the tourists”. “ we get feedback form tourists to improve the facilities.
