KARACHI: As voting is under across the country after the polling time ended at 6pm, a local news channel, believed to be a big supporter of Imran Khan’s  PTI, mocked the code of conduct set for the media by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The said channel aired the initial elections results minutes after the polling time ended in the country. However, no other national media outlet had bypassed the ECP’s code of conduct.

Later, after broadcasting several results in violation of the code of conduct the said TV channel apologised the ECP over its seemed to be deliberate violation.

The ECP had earlier directed the media outlets not to announce any result before 7pm.
