LAHORE, July 4; Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the MMA on coming to power, would establish new cities under the shadow of the CPEC to reduce the burden on the existing cities and towns.
Addressing different delegates at Mansoora, he said that all the civic necessities including electricity, water and gas would be provided in these cities to create jobs for the youth and special efforts would be made to develop small and cottage industries there.
He said the MMA would reduce the burden of foreign and internal loans to 70 per cent within three years and ultimately free the country from loans.
Sirajul Haq said that around ten per cent of the total budget should be allocated for education and health to build a healthy and prosperous Pakistan. This could be done by abandoning the loan based economy and evolving the system of Zakat and Ushr.
He said the MMA wanted to restructure the tax indicators and expand the tax net to reduce the burden on the general public.
He said the MMA had decided to raise the ratio of Islamic banking from 16 per cent to 60 per cent within three years and not to obtain any fresh loans during this period.
Sirajul Haq further said that special efforts would be made to establish institutions of technical training and Information Technology in the new cities. The MMA also wanted to organize the youth at UC and mohalla level and a new ministry would be set up for that. A new system of the police, revenue and judiciary would be evolved.
He said that three per cent of the total budget would be spent on games and sports to build a healthy society.
