Clashes underway between security forces and terrorists during the intensified phase of the military operation in the tribal belt of Pakistan that left nine terrorists dead while four security officials martyred and four injured in the violent fight in South Waziristan.
Terrorists have attacked a checkpost situated in Ladha tehsil of South Waziristan Agency that turned into intense battle when security forces immediately retaliated hard and thwarted the coward attack.
Security forces killed eight terrorists on the spot while various got injured in the retaliation, whereas, four security officials were martyred and four sustained injuries, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said here on Saturday.
Martyred and injured officials were shifted to the hospital while heavy contingents of security forces commenced search operation on the border area of North and South Waziristan Agencies.
