Punjab University (PU) situated in Lahore city of Pakistan bagged top position amongst all varsities of the country in accordance to Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) ranking held by the largest public research body of Spain, Cyber metrics Lab.
CSIC released “Webometrics Ranking of World Universities” for acknowledging positions of over and above 20,000 universities around the world where Punjab University grabbed 15th position in South Asia while it declared top position holding in Pakistan.
Moreover, Aga Khan University and National University of Science and Technology (NUST) secured second and third positions respectively in Pakistan. PU is currently residing on 1899th position out of over 20,000 universities and currently it is amongst the top 10% universities of the world.
President of Academic Staff Association of Punjab University Prof Dr Hassan Mobeen Alam, Secretary Dr Miahboob Hussain as well as others have also congratulated Vice Chancellor of PU Dr Mujahid Kamran on the success.
