KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said that declaring Jerusalem as Israeli capital was nothing less than waging a war against Muslim Umma, however the entire Umaat is United against the nefarious designs of the governments in the United States and Tal Avive.
He expressed these views on Wednesday while talking to media upon his arrival at the Karachi airport.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the role of Muslim leaders, except a few, was extremely below the expectations.
Talking about the 17th December march in Karachi, he said that through this million march, the JI wants to make it clear before the international community and particularly the US and Israel that this step of recognition of Jursalem will not be accepted and that Muslims will go to any extend against this decision.
He was of the view that the greater Israel project is bound to fail.
Talking about the Islamabad rally on Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) issue, he said that the rulers are the only hurdle in providing due rights to the people of tribal areas.
If the government failed to meet our demands by 31st December, we will be marching to Islamabad again, he added.
He also expressed concerns on the prevailing uncertainty on the country’s economic front.
He also reiterated his demand for judicial inquiry into the amendment in oath on the finality of the prophet issue.
Later the JI leader met with prominent religious scholar Mufti Muneebur Rehman at his residence to discuss the ongoing domestic and international issues.
He also invited the scholar to participate in the million march.
