NAROWAL: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Sunday that the security forces had broken down the backbone of terrorism in the country.

Speaking to media after inaugurating a vegetable market here, the interior minister said that those making speeches could not run the government.

He said that there was a time when more than 25 people were used to be killed in a day but now masses were living in life.

There had been 22-hour outage in the country in the past but now continuous electricity was being supplied for 22 hours a day, he added.

He said that the PPP-led government had failed to carry out any major project in its previous tenure.
