RAWALPINDI: Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated here on Friday (Nov 30) with religious zeal and fervor as the arrangements are in full swing while the district police have finalized security plan for 12 Rabi-ul-Awal under which 3500 cops will be deployed to provide security cover to the faithful.

The citizens including children and youth are finalizing their preparations to celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a befitting manner.

Like every year, the government and religious organisations have planned a number of activities including Milad processions, seminars, conferences and discussion programmes to celebrate the annual event.

All bazaars, shopping centres, government and private buildings, streets and roads have been illuminated beautifully in every nook and corner of the city. The government departments concerned have been directed to give every possible help and clearance to the routes of Milad processions.

Many vendors had set up colorful stalls with unique collection of badges, stickers, flags and banners inscribed with religious slogans to pay respect and reverence to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

The day of 12 Rabi ul Awal will begin with special prayers in mosques. Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions will be taken out and Milad gatherings will be held to celebrate the sacred day.

Local administration has already prepared contingency security plans with coordination of law enforcement agencies to guard the processions and other events to be held on the day.

Special programmes have been finalised to pay tributes and highlight different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Various social, cultural, educational institutions and religious organisations have also finalized their programmes for Eid Milad un Nabi (PBUH).
