As many as 110 people have been killed while over 14000 have sustained injuries during the uprising.

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani in Indian Occupied Kashmir has said that India has declared a war against the innocent people of the territory while as international community instead of taking any serious note of this is acting as a mute spectator.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that during the past several decades Kashmiris while nourishing their freedom movement and demanding their right to self-determination had rendered huge sacrifices.

He said that New Delhi with its military might had brutally killed thousands of Kashmiris and was carrying assault on women’s modesty and dignity in the territory.

The APHC Chairman pointed out that India’s haughty and stubborn approach was the main cause of continuous bloodshed in occupied Kashmir.

He, while reiterating his stand, said no sane person can ever like and favour loss of human lives, however, in a state of arrogance, Indian rulers neither take into consideration of the interests of their people nor they have any sympathy with the people of Kashmir. This situation is painful both for people in India and Jammu and Kashmir, he added.

He urged the Indian authorities to shun their stale thinking and demonstrate mature and sensible approach for resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Syed Ali Gilani also paid rich tributes to the youth who were recently martyred by Indian troops in Hajin and Shopian areas saying that the youth were sacrificing their precious lives for a greater cause and Kashmiri people were duty-bound to carry their mission to its logical conclusion.

On the instructions of Syed Ali Gilani, Hurriyat leader, Bashir Ahmad Qureshi, visited Hajin and expressed solidarity with the family members of the martyred youth.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Nahida Nasreen, along with a party delegation also visited Shopian and Hajin areas and paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth. She said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.
