QUETTA: At least 14 passengers were killed and 27 others wounded when a coach collided head-on with a van in Mastung district’s Dasht area on Saturday.
Rescue and police sources said that the bodies and the wounded had been shifted to the Quetta’s Civil Hospital.
Condition of some of the injured is critical, hospital sources said.
Rescue sources said that the passenger coach coming from Sibbi collided head-on with the van bound for Quetta, killing 14 and hurting 27.
Two policemen were among the killed, they added.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Balocistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed their deep grief over the loss of innocent lives in the unfortunate road accident.
They also prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the accident.
