ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami will challenge the Election Bill 2017, passed by the National Assembly amid protest by the opposition on Monday.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, JI Ameer Sirajul Haq said an All Parties Conference would be convened on Oct 12, wherein future course of action would be revealed.
The JI is also holding a meeting of legal experts on Oct 5, he said.
He went to say that so-called democracy has been running the country.
He said that corruption and Pakistan could not move together. There should be accountability of all corrupts and not just one person in the country.
We want to see democracy, institutions and traditions protected. There should be rule of law in the country instead of a family or an individual’s rule.
Details to follow.
