Pakistan says reminded Saudi Arabia about Zaid Hamid

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday said that the meeting between claimed that the Saudi Arabia’s counselor cannot be reached in the matter of detained Pakistani activist Zaid Hamid’s release while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reminded the Saudi government regarding the matter.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson in a statement released on Thursday said that meeting between Zaid Hamid and his wife took place on June 6 in Saudi Arabia.

About the BBC report about local political party MQM’s Indian funding, the spokesperson maintained that the government is waiting for a formal response from British government.

The spokesperson claimed that US along with international community appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to hold talks between Afghanistan government and Taliban adding that important notable represntatives from both sides were present in the meeting.
