Pakistan, Norway sign solar energy deal

OSLO: Norway has also come forward to help Pakistan end its energy crisis as the prime ministers of the two countries on Tuesday signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of cooperation in the field of solar energy.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the crisis will be over within next 2 to 3 years. On his visit to Norway, PM Nawaz Sharif met his counterpart Erna Solberg and signed the MoU after discussions between the two leaders.

They also discussed the matters of mutual concern on this occasion.

Holding a joint press conference after the meeting, Nawaz Sharif and Solberg declared the talks quite positive. PM Nawaz said that the energy crisis will be under control within next 2 to 3 years.

Nawaz also said that the Oslo Conference of Heads of States was a good initiative as education is also one of Pakistan’s major issues. Norwegian prime minister also stressed upon improved bilateral relations.
