KARACHI: Former member of Sindh Assembly Irfanullah Khan Marwat on Thursday demanded of the Election Commission to take notice of the issuance of ballot papers and other material to the PPP candidate Saeed Ghani before the by-election day, July 9.
In a statement on Thursday, the former provincial education minister urged the election commission to hold the results of PS-114 by-election until the thumb verification of votes polled in 13 polling stations, where ballot papers were issued to PPP candidate one day before by-poll.
Irfanllah Marwat made this demand while speaking to his party workers held at his residence.
The event was attended by Coordinator Afzal Tahir Langah, Vice Chairman UC-3 Azam Basti Tahir Jameel, Councilor UC-3 Shafiq Tanoli, Syed Abid Nawaz, Ejaz Sawati, Younus Khan, Chaudhry Sajjad, Sardar Ashraf, Saeed Baloch, Asif Awan, Saqib Hussain, Raja Muhammad Hafeez, Naeem Khattak and others.
Meanwhile, the MQM-P had challenged the results of PS-114 by-poll.
