ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Hockey team captain Muhammad Imran on Tuesday said that he is ready to tender his resignation if he gets a guarantee that the move will improve the team’s performance.
Talking to media after the team’s arrival at Islamabad airport, Imran said that he will take the decision about resignation after consulting his friends and family adding that the team is already saddened by the loss and then these rumours about resignation are arising.
Imran, whose team lost 1-0 to Ireland in the FIH Hockey World League Semi-finals and failed to qualify for the Olympics maintained that he is willing to resign if he gets a guarantee that the team’s performance will get any better by his move.
