ANKARA: Turkey is ready to do its part in resolving the diplomatic rift between the Arab states and Qatar, President Erdogan’s spokesman said on Monday.
The countries in the region need to evaluate their relations on the basis of unity and solidarity rather that unfounded news and allegations, Ibrahim Kalın said in a statement.
On Monday, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and Yemen all abruptly announced their decision to sever diplomatic relations with Doha, citing “national security” concerns.
