PESHAWAR: More than 250 suspects including proclaimed offenders and Afghan nationals were arrested, arms and drugs recovered during search operations in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday.
The police during search operation in Hayatabad locality of the provincial capital Peshawar arrested 28 including POs and suspects. More than 100 suspects including 25 POs were arrested with arms and drugs during search operation in Tal area of Hangu district.
DPO Dr. Mian Saeed said that more than 30 suspects including POs were arrested during search operations in Shergarh locality Mardan. Arms were recovered from the possession of the detainees.
The POs among 10 suspects were apprehended with arms in Tangi and surrounding areas in Charsadda.
Search operations of LEAs in Swabi, Dir, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Bisham, Kohistan and other districts led to arrests of about 80 suspects besides recovery of arms, drugs and other items.
The detainees were being interrogated after registering case against them at concerned police stations of respective cities.
