SHARJAH: Islamabad United were 34-2 in (7.1) overs when rain interrupted play yet again in Sharjah.
Karachi Kings captain Sangakkara won the toss and elected to field first on Friday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Winning the toss Kings captain Kumar Sangakkara said, “There’s rain around, let’s see how it goes. The wicket looks a bit different to the usual Sharjah pitch.
He hoped that his bowlers will do and keep United to a low total. “We’ve kept Sohail Khan out and we’ve brought in a left-arm spinner [Kashif Bhatti]”, he added.
