ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan resumed suo moto hearing on Wednesday about implantation of substandard stents at Lahore hospitals.

Chief Justice Saqib Nisar observed that taking a suo moto notice does not mean spreading panic. We do not want to panic patients who had stent implantation, the judge added.

The Deputy Attorney General submitted a FIA report to the Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice remarked that now the matter had gone beyond the Meo Hospital and the government has to provide details in this connection.

The judge observed that an order may be passed against those who unnecessarily debate over the court remarks.
