SAHIWAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday vowed to continue fight against corruption till his ‘last breath’.
Imran Khan, while addressing a large rally of his supporters in Sahiwal city of Punjab, vowed to make Pakistan prosper and corruption-free.
“Qatri business partners are providing them letters, but they are totally fake,” he said, while lambasting the Sharif family over Panama Papers scandal.
Imran Khan said that they would accept Supreme Court’s decision in Panama Leaks case. However, he added that the alleged corruption of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will not be accepted.
He said that country’s biggest problem was the corruption of politicians, adding that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police were free from political pressure.
He said that instead of finding new gas reserves in the country, the government was importing gas from Qatar.
Imran Khan said that he was feeling bad about the children of Nawaz Sharif as the corruption was done by him but his children were being held accountable.
Imran Khan condemned US President Donald Trump’s executive orders banning entry of Muslims and immigrants from seven countries including Pakistan.
He also condemned attack on a Pakistani woman by a supporter of Trump at John F. Kennedy International Airport of the US.
Imran Khan said this is only due to the policies of the government that talented youths of this country are leaving Pakistan. “We must value our dignity as a Pakistani,” he said.
He promised for a system of justice, equality, prosperity and merit in Pakistan only if his party is voted into power. “This is for the first time when a prime minister is being scrutinized in Pakistan. I promise that I will continue my efforts to eliminate corruption and to hold the kings of corruption accountable. I promise to fight till my last breath,” he vowed. He said the provincial government has bettered education and health sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Around 34,000 students of private schools have shifted to the government schools in the province, according to Khan. He said PTI, when it would assume power, will strengthen farmers and make their businesses self-sufficient. He claimed that the institutions of Pakistan are not independent and not even a Station House Officer (SHO) of police is appointed unless ‘Raiwind orders.’
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has hydrocarbon reserves in abundance but the federal government signs LNG import pacts to pocket commission, he said. Khan said that the people of the country are its biggest assets and every decision made should be in their interest. INP
