LAHORE: Four terrorists including a suicide bomber were killed and two others were arrested as law enforcement agencies carried out a search operation in Ferozwala tehsil of Lahore on Monday, ARY NEws reported.
According to details, police and law enforcement agencies on a tip off started a search operation in Ferozwala tehsil of Lahore where a suicide bomber blew himself up while other terrorists opened fire on police personnel.
Police killed three terrorists in retaliatory fire while two others were arrested.
The District Police Officer (DPO) Sheikhupura and forensic experts reached the site as the search operation continued in the area.
Three suicide vests, a rocket launcher, five Kalashnikovs, five pistols and two laptop computers besides explosives were recovered from the terrorists’ possession, claimed police.
Police sources say that the militants were planning terrorist attacks on important government buildings including the office of Inspector General Police Punjab.
The law enforcement personnel recovered explosive material, firearms and maps of sensitive government buildings from the custody of terrorists.
