MUZAFFARGARH: At least five people including three children died and several others were injured in separate road mishaps in various cities of the Punjab on Monday.
Rescue sources said that an over speeding trailer ran over a bike in Gujrat Town of Muzaffargarh. Three real brothers, sister died in the accident while another girl sustained injuries. The trailer diver fled from the scene of the accident.
An over speeding truck hit a car at motorway M3 near Pindi Bhattian in Hafizabad district. A youth died in the accident and three motorists’ sustained injuries who were rushed to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for treatment.
One person died when a truck hit a donkey-cart at Jhang Road in Chak No. 304, Gojra. Meanwhile, more than a dozen others were injured in the accidents.
The bodies and injured were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas where condition of some wounded people was stated to be serious.
