SANTIAGO: Paraguay’s football team defeated Brazil in the quarterfinal of the Copa America tournament. Paraguay defeated Brazil on penalty kicks.
The Canarinho grabbed an early lead but Derlis Gonzalez equalized for the Albirroja late in the second half, and they proceeded to earn the victory from the spot.
Paraguay has now qualified for the semifinal where it would have to face Argentina on June 30th.
Chili and Peru have also reached in semifinal round. They would play the semifinal match on June 29th.
