90pc of beggars arrested abroad belong to Pakistan: Report

Islamabad: Pakistani beggars have become a headache in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and other countries, it has been revealed that 90% of the arrested beggars in Arab countries belong to Pakistan.

In the meeting of the Standing Committee of Overseas Pakistanis under the chairmanship of Senator Manzoor Kakar, Secretary Overseas exploded. Briefing the committee, Secretary Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Haider said that the majority of pickpockets caught from inside the Haram are also from Pakistan.

Foreign Ministry officials said professional beggars mostly go on Umrah or visit visas, and beg at pilgrimage sites, and thousands of beggars were deported because of this.

He said that Chapan asked for 3 lakh 40 thousand skilled people, India sent 150,000 people, Nepal sent 91 thousand people to Japan, while Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also sent skilled people to Tokyo, but only 200 people from Pakistan went to Japan.

He said that we have 50,000 engineers who are unemployed, Saudi Arabia does not want simple labor but skilled labor, we have 30 lakh people in Saudi Arabia.
