80 suspects rounded up in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar police along other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on Sunday arrested 80 suspects during targeted search operations in different areas of the provincial capital under National Action Plan.

According police sources, the police carried out raids in suburban areas of Peshawar, Pushta Khara and Gulberg, from where 60 suspects were nailed. The arrested persons included eight Afghan nationals and cases have been registered against them under foreign act.

LEAs also recovered a large number of ammunition and nailed more than 20 suspects from Budhbir area of Peshawar. The operation was conducted by closing all the routes of the area and installing mobile jammers.
