MULTAN: Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have killed eight terrorist in an exchange of fire Thursday night in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Multan officials claimed that the terrorists killed in DG Khan wanted to establish Daeshnetwork.
CTD Multan officials stated that the terrorists wereidentified as Khurram, Abdul Hakim, Abdul Jabbar, Shoukat, Rafiq, Bilal, Iftikhar, and Rasheed and their bodies shifted to DG Khanhospital.
The terrorists belonging to banned organizations hadremained engaged in kidnapping senior government officials toextort huge ransom and used to demand release of their jailedaccomplices in return for the release of kidnapped officials.
The terrorists killed were residents of Orakzai agency, Lahore and Faisalabad, CTD Multan officials said.
It may be noted that eight terrorists were killed in anexchange of fire when a combing operation by law enforcementagencies at a tribal area, Tomiwala, near Sakhi Sarwar town in district Dera Ghazi Khan, turned into exchange of fire.
