7th class student killed in Indian forces’ action in Kupwara

In occupied Kashmir, a teenage boy, who was a seventh class student, was killed when Indian forces opened fire on protesters in Langate area of Kupwara after the end of sham polling for the Baramulla parliamentary constituency, today.

Youth took to the streets in Mandigam village of Langate and staged anti-India protests. The troops fired pellets to quell the protests, resulting in death of a teenager, identified as Owais Mir, a resident of Mandigam.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Handwara, Dr Rauf, told media that the teenage boy was brought to the facility for treatment. “He had suffered multiple pellet injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the facility,” he added.

Another youth has also received serious injuries during the incident.
