Pakistan lifts all Covid restrictions

Islamabad: The country’s National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has disclosed that 79 percent of the cases emerged during the past 24 hours are caused by local transmission.

It added that the governnent would introduce the track and trace system in the next few days. Under the system, people will be tested randomly, it said.

Meanwhile,  as of Friday (11:00am) the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus has reached 11,155 while 237 died in the country.

After emergence of new cases, Punjab overtook Sindh with 4,767 confirmed infections.

2,527 patients have recovered so far in the country while 237 have lost their lives.

Globally over 190, 000 people have so far died from the deadly disease.
