73 new passport offices to be set up in country

ISLAMABAD: The government on Sunday announced to establish 73 new Regional Passport Offices at district level to facilitate the people.

Sources in ministry of interior said that the offices would be set up during the next 15 months.

‘At present, there are 95 Regional Passport Offices functioning across the country catering to the requirements of the general public,’ said the sources.

Meanwhile, Passport home delivery system has recently been launched in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The system would be expanded in the entire country in four months. A complete online application system for passports would also be launched by March 2016.
