RIYADH: At least 717 pilgrims have been martyred and 863 others were injured during Hajj stampede in Mina, Saudi Arab, said Saudi authorities.
At least 863 pilgrims were injured in the stampede in Mina, a few kilometers east of Mecca, caused by two large groups of pilgrims arriving together at a crossroads on their way to performing the “stoning the devil” ritual at Jamarat, Saudi authorities said.
Local media reported that 4 Pakistani hajj pilgrims were also martyred in the incident.
