PESHAWAR: A 7.1 magnitude earthquake on Sunday jolted parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab.
The powerful earthquake struck Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Swabi, Kohat, Gilgit, Skardu, North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Multan, Sargodha, Abbottabad, Kohistan and in other areas of the country.
The quake also disrupted communication system in the areas.
The depth of the quake was 236 kilometer and its epiceter was in Hindu Kush, Afghanistan. The quake also felt in occupied Kashmir, Afghanistan and India.
