65 mountaineers died in Nepal, many still missing

KATHMANDU:  The earthquake in Nepal on Saturday wreck havoc  on the most highest place in the world, the Mount Everest.

The Nepalese department of mountaineering has confirmed that as many as 65 mountaineers have died in the earthquake and scores of them still trapped on the hills.

The country tourism ministry told that around 1000 mountaineers  were present at base camp which include 400 foreigners when the earthquake hit the country.

The ministry said that avalanche after the quake devastated as many as 3o tents on the base camp and many climbers were still missing. The rescue teams are searching the missing climbers.
