KARACHI: A team of Excise department, led by E&T inspector Hussain Bux Larik searched a Bedford truck bearing No AJK 664 at Sindh Punjab National Highway Kamboon Shaheed check post and recovered 57 kilogram charas and arrested two accused namely Sultan Bhadur and Yousuf Sultan.
The accused are residents of Sawabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the truck is also impounded.
A case has been lodged against the accused and the investigations are underway.
Meanwhile the provincial minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla has directed the officers concerned to tighten the checking at entry points in order to foil all attempts to bring narcotics into Sindh.
