Five security personnel injured in Peshawar blast

PESHAWAR: At least five security personnel sustained injuries in a blast at Charsadda road in Naguman area of Peshawar on Tuesday morning.

According to rescue sources, the Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were on routine patrolling when their vehicle was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on the roadside at Charsadda road.

As the result, five security personnel were injured.

The injured were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) for treatment.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, confirmed that five personnel were injured in IED blast.

Security forces cordoned off the incident site and a search operation was started in the area, he added.
