Islamabad: During the past 24 hours, 476 more patients recovered from the Covid-19.
According to the national database, after the latest recoveries the tally has risen to 5,590.
The total number of confirmed cases has reached 20,156 in Pakistan while 459 died from the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Asad Umar, the minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives had on Sunday said that the decision on easing the lockdown restrictions would be taken after May 9, taking all provinces onboard.
After the May-9 meeting of the National Coordination Committee, we will decide the future strategy, the federal minister told media here.
He said that any decision regarding easing the lockdown restrictions would be taken in a way that it does not harm the healthcare system of the country. We will gradually relax the restrictions, providing livelihood to masses.
The federal minister said that currently we have 1400 ventilators while 900 more would be available in two months.
He said that 35 Covid-19 patients are on ventilators in the country.
