MANILA: At least 36 people have been died as ferry capsized in Philippine.
The MBCA Kim-Nirvana, the ferry with 173 passengers and 16 crew on board, capsized suddenly minutes after leaving the port of Ormoc. 127 people of the ferry have been rescued.
Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Armand Balilo said 127 people survived but could not immediately give details of their rescue, while 26 were still listed as missing.
He said that search and rescue operation had been launched. He said that the incident occurred due to big waves.
