PESHAWAR: Police and security forces in a joint search operation arrested 253 suspects on Sunday.
According to reports, the police and security forces conducted the search operation in Tajabad, Umeed Abad, Nasir Bagh and Karkhano market.
During the operation, 222 suspects were arrested while another 31 were taken into custody for failure to produce identity documents.
Police officials said 140 houses, 3 hotels and four hostels were searched to nab the suspected persons including terrorists. They said that nine pistols, hundreds of bullets and wine bottles were recovered from their custody.
