CEO Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig has stated that Alkhidmat’s 22 Aghosh Homes across the country, including Karachi, are providing exemplary care and upbringing for hundreds of orphaned children.
These homes offer high-quality education, nutritious meals, comfortable accommodations, and a clean, supportive environment. Children residing in Aghosh Homes are also taken on educational and recreational trips, ensuring both their worldly and spiritual development so they can grow into responsible and respectable members of society.
Speaking in a special statement, Naveed Ali Baig highlighted that Alkhidmat’s Aghosh Home in Gulshan-e-Maymar currently houses 107 children, providing them with boarding facilities and complete care. All children attend school regularly, following a structured daily routine like other children. This discipline helps instill a sense of order and responsibility in their lives.
He emphasized that Aghosh Homes is one of the largest and most well-regarded projects dedicated to the upbringing of orphaned children, expanding its reach nationwide. The organization ensures the children’s care up to the intermediate level, equipping them with education and skills for independent living. Many children who grew up in Aghosh Homes have successfully transitioned into professional and independent lives. Alkhidmat Karachi also plans to establish an Aghosh Home specifically for orphaned girls in the near future.
Naveed Ali Baig underscored that caring for orphans is a Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) and a means of attaining paradise. He further shared that the process of caring for these courageous children continues throughout the year. The monthly expense for a child at Aghosh Home is PKR 20,000, amounting to PKR 240,000 annually. He urged philanthropists and well-wishers to support this noble initiative by joining hands with Alkhidmat in this mission.
