The five-day Eid shopping event for orphan children organized by Alkhidmat Karachi’s Orphan Care Program at a leading shopping mall, has successfully concluded.
On the final day, over 500 children enthusiastically participated in Eid shopping, expressing immense joy while selecting items of their choice.
Children from Aghosh Home also participated in the event. Alkhidmat’s volunteers guided the children and their mothers throughout their shopping experience. Several prominent personalities, including former cricketers Tauseef Ahmed and sports anchor Yahya Hussaini, Gulshan Town Chairman Dr. Fawad, actors Ayaz Khan and Kashif Khan, Alkhidmat Karachi’s Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, Director Alkhidmat Medical Services Dr. Saqib Ansari, Director Orphan Care Program Yousuf Mohiuddin and other officials were present at the occasion.
During the visit, Tauseef Ahmed,, Yahya Hussaini, Dr. Fawad, Ayaz Khan, and Kashif Khan met with the children, spoke kind words, and inquired about their Eid shopping experience. Tauseef Ahmed expressed his happiness at witnessing Alkhidmat’s extensive efforts for orphaned children, calling it a noble cause. Kamran Akmal highlighted that caring for orphans follows the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and commended Alkhidmat for upholding this tradition.
He urged philanthropists to support this mission. Actor Ayaz Khan praised Alkhidmat’s initiative, stating that no amount of appreciation would be sufficient for their efforts in bringing smiles to children’s faces. Kashif Khan, who has been attending this Eid shopping event for several years, noted that the number of registered children in the Orphan Care Program is steadily increasing, which is a testament to Alkhidmat’s dedication to supporting orphaned children at home. Sports anchor Yahya Hussaini emphasized the need to spread awareness about Alkhidmat’s work and encourage people to take responsibility for orphan care. He also urged philanthropists to support this noble cause.
