Alkhidmat Karachi’s Eid shopping for orphans is now into its second day, with more than 500 children participating in this exciting event which is being held at a leading shopping mall.
A total of 2,400 orphan children registered with Alkhidmat’s Orphan Care program will benefit from this activity, in which each child will be given a shopping voucher worth PKR 6,500 along with an additional PKR 500 in cash as an Eid gift.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Munem Zafar Khan visited the mall where he met with the children and discussed their shopping experiences.
Speaking to the media, he stated that Alkhidmat is providing care and financial support to over 30,000 orphaned children across Pakistan. He emphasized that caring for orphans is a Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) and that this program sets an example in a society where orphans often face mistreatment. He urged philanthropists to support Alkhidmat’s efforts.
He also stressed the importance of remembering Palestinian children, noting that Israeli bombings have resulted in the martyrdom of countless children. He highlighted that thousands of Palestinians have been martyred in the last 500 days and called upon the people of Pakistan, especially Karachi, to completely boycott Israeli products and support local Pakistani goods.
Also present at the event were Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureshi, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Qaideen Engineer Abdul Aziz, Director Orphan Care Program Yousuf Mohiuddin, Chief Financial Officer Asif Jamal, and other officials. Deputy Commissioner East, Abrar Ahmed Jaffar, Town Chairman Model Town Zafar Ahmed Khan, and Ameer District Airport Muhammad Ashraf also visited the shopping mall and appreciated Alkhidmat’s efforts. Munim Zafar Khan further emphasized that Alkhidmat’s Orphan Care Program is one of its largest initiatives, ensuring monthly financial support for these children at their homes. This assistance covers their education, food, and other essential needs. He stated that Alkhidmat remains committed to these children’s education and provides them with a fulfilling Eid shopping experience every year.
He also highlighted that Alkhidmat has established 11 clusters across the city where training programs are conducted for both children and their mothers to help them build a brighter future.
Additionally, Alkhidmat has set up Aghosh Homes nationwide, providing quality accommodation, education, and essential facilities for orphaned children. Crediting philanthropists for their continued support of these initiatives, Munim Zafar Khan expressed his appreciation for Alkhidmat’s unwavering commitment to orphaned children, applauded the administration and Orphan Care Program team for organizing the five-day Eid shopping event, and congratulated the volunteers for their dedicated efforts.
