Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the difficulties in the supply of gas during sehar and iftar during the month of Ramazan and directed to take immediate steps.
The prime minister held an emergency meeting in this regard late at night, in which the problems of gas supply in Sehar and Iftar were discussed in detail with the managing directors and senior management of Sui companies.
On the instructions of the Prime Minister, Sui Southern Gas Company has decided to increase the gas pressure by 10 percent immediately.
Apart from this, gas supply will be started 30-45 minutes before sehri and iftar hours in the areas located at the last end of gas distribution centers, which will improve the gas pressure in these areas.
Sui Southern Gas Company has also announced the creation of control rooms in the head office and regional offices to monitor the gas transmission system, which will review the gas supply situation on a daily basis.
A company spokesman said that complaints of low gas pressure will be resolved on an emergency basis, and a report in this regard will be submitted on a daily basis.
