Mustafa Amir case: Court grants 5-day physical remand of accused Armaghan

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday extended the physical remand of Armaghan Qureshi, an accused in the Mustafa Amir kidnapping and murder case, for five more days.

The public prosecutor said that the physical remand of the accused should be extended, while the investigating officer told the court that the accused have found the girl who tortured her, today the statement of the girl has to be recorded, the statements of 164 witnesses have to be recorded.

The lawyer of the accused opposed the police’s request for physical remand, while the accused Armaghan said that I am constantly being tortured, I am not being given food, I have not been able to go to the washroom for 10 days, on which the court said that it is not possible, a person who does not go to the bathroom for 10 days cannot even stand.

Armaghan’s lawyer said that before recording the statements of the accused or witnesses, we should be noticed, the police encounter lasted for four hours, the mother surrendered armaghan, his statement should be recorded, Armaghan’s medical check-up should be done.

The investigating officer said that the DNA of the victim girl has to be done, while the public prosecutor said that there is a sensation all over the country, the accused have to investigate money laundering and drug trafficking, the accused is very vicious, not cooperating in the investigation, until the investigation is completed, the meeting should not be allowed.
