Now you can call LGBTQ people 'mentally ill' on Facebook

Technology company Meta has announced the removal of a major gay ban on its other social media platforms, including Facebook.

According to the report, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that freedom of expression is being extended to Meta’s other platforms, including Facebook.

According to Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement, the company lifted the ban on calling gay people ‘mentally ill’ or women ‘property’ on its social media platforms.

Our goal is to ensure that people can freely share their comments and experiences through our platforms, said Meta’s CEO.

Mark Zuckerberg, in addition to lifting the ban on freedom of expression, has also removed third-party fact-checking from his platforms. Users will now see ‘community notices’ on social media platforms instead of third-party fact-checking.

Mark Zuckerberg’s ban on anti-gay comments has also drawn heavy criticism from the LGBT community.
