Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has revealed that the Afghan government had asked for Rs10 billion to settle the banned TTP in Kabul.
Speaking on a local TV show, the defence minister said that Pakistan’s defence has internal threats and we can face external threats as we are fully prepared for it.
Asif further said that the main cause of terrorism is the people who were brought and settled. I was in the assembly when the briefing was given that the decision to settle them is better. The statement of the PTI founder was that 40-45,000 people will come and now these people are sitting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khawaja Asif said that after the formation of the PDM government, he went to Afghanistan and met with the defence minister and other leaders of the Afghan Taliban. Rs10 billion were demanded to relocate the TTP people, during the time I went to Afghanistan there was no ceasefire of the banned organization, he recalled.
The minister said that the people involved in the massacre of Palestinians have no right to criticize us. Despite all the pressure, we have become a nuclear power and made missiles, we can negotiate, but how can we justify attacks on defence installations?
