Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said that the role of General Soleimani in the fight against terrorism was unique.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stated this during a meeting with General Soleimani’s family members and his companions in Tehran today.
The meeting was held ahead of the 5th martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani falling on January 3.
Also present on the occasion were the families of those martyred in a stampede during General Soleimani’s funeral in Kerman and people martyred last year in terrorist attacks targeting his commemoration service in the same town.
Ayatollah Khamenei said, in his address attendees, that martyred Soleimani’s constant strategy was to revive the Resistance Front.
He added that the role of General Soleimani in the fight against terrorism was unique and that defending sacred places was a principle for the general.
Khamenei went on to say that if blood is shed for sake of God, it will not go in vain.
He further said that the events involving martyred Soleimani in region show Islamic Revolution is alive.
