Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are undoubtedly the superstars of Pakistan cricket but they were not the national top batters and bowlers during the 2024.
The year 2024 left with sweet and sour memories in relation to cricket as well. While this year started with constant changes and defeats in Pakistan cricket, it ended with a series of positive results and victories.
Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi who are superstars of Pakistan cricket and have won many matches by their performance alone. Their performance was good in some matches but overall the performance of both the cricketers was dull in Test cricket.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has released the list of the top five batters and bowlers of Test cricket in the year 2024, but surprisingly, the names of the two players are not on the list.

Among Pakistan’s top five batters in Test cricket, Saud Shakeel is leading the list with 544 runs in 7 Test matches. The wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan is at the second position by scoring 539 runs in as many matches.
Among the top five Test bowlers, the first two numbers are the bowlers who helped the Pakistan team win the Test series against England.
Sajid Khan and Nauman Ali, who had been neglected for almost two years, returned to the team and created havoc as soon as they arrived. Sajid Khan took 22 wickets in three Test matches and was the most successful national bowler in this format. Nouman Ali took 20 wickets in 2 Test matches.
Khurram Shahzad is third with 13 wickets in three Test matches, Amir Jamal and Naseem Shah are fourth and fifth with 9 wickets each, respectively.
