Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has undergone prostate cancer surgery.
75-year-old Netanyahu has faced scrutiny over his health amid his leadership during the war in Gaza and a corruption trial.
Earlier, the PM office had announced that Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will undergo a surgery.
Palestinian news agency Sama said that Netanyahu’s office said, in a statement, that the Israeli prime minister underwent an examination at Hadassah Hospital and was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by an enlarged benign prostate tumor.
Netanyahu, since then, has received antibiotic treatment, the statement said.
It is his third health scare for the Zionist leader. In March, he had undergone hernia surgery. He had a pacemaker implanted in July after a medical incident.
Since 2022, the current leader of the Likud Party has been serving as the Zionist regime’s prime minister.
Netanyahu is the main architect of the genocidal war on the besieged Gaza Strip. The war has so far claimed about 46,000 lives, mostly women and children since October 7, 2023.
